QUICK ANSWERS TO YOUR QUESTIONS
Yes. Portraits are created remotely, based on photographs sent via email or WhatsApp.
You can provide a single photo or request to combine multiple images into a single composition. In that case, you will receive a graphic preview to visualize the arrangement of the subjects.
It is recommended to send multiple photos, so the most suitable one can be selected together to ensure the best possible result.
If you prefer, it is also possible to have the photo taken directly at the artist’s studio in Cerro Maggiore (MI), where the reference image will be carefully crafted with customized lighting, poses, and details.
To create a faithful and high-quality portrait, it’s essential to start with a clear, well-defined photo with good lighting. The final result greatly depends on the quality of the reference image.
Tips for a good photo:
A close-up or half-length shot to clearly capture facial features.
Natural, diffused lighting—preferably daylight (near a window or outdoors in the shade).
A sharp photo, with visible facial details (eyes, expression, hair).
A front-facing or slightly three-quarter view, depending on the desired effect.
A natural, relaxed expression, without filters or distortions.
What to avoid:
Blurry, pixelated, or overly compressed images.
Social media photos with filters, beauty effects, or perspective distortion (e.g., close-up selfies).
Sunglasses, covered faces, exaggerated expressions, or forced poses.
The creation time for a portrait varies depending on the technique, size, and the number of ongoing orders.
It is recommended to plan well in advance and to commission the portrait at least 15 days ahead for pencil/charcoal works, and 60 days ahead for oil paintings.
The cost of a portrait varies based on several factors, including:
The number of subjects to be portrayed (including animals or landscapes, which are considered full subjects)
The chosen technique
The size of the artwork

The choice of frame is a highly personal matter and depends on the client's taste as well as the décor of their home or office. Given the fragility of frames - especially those with glass - shipping framed portraits or artworks carries significant risk.
For this reason, the artist has decided not to offer a framing service.Instead, it is recommended that once the portrait is received, clients turn to a trusted or local framer, allowing them to choose the most suitable frame in person by trying out different options and finding the one that best matches their taste and surroundings.
